Alex found the courage to lead 70 people from Cherkasy, in the middle of Ukraine, to safety in Romania at the start of the Ukraine war. Alex was the first story ever recorded for Overcome International and we still keep in touch and work with Alex and his team.
He spoke english and volunteered to translate for the rest of the caravan. They found shelter in Beius Romania for a while and now the group is spread out all over Romania. Alex and his family run a church for Ukrainians in Oradea; the church acts as a hub of support for Ukrainian refugees. In his spare time he runs a consulting business and sustains his family with IT work.
