Tatyana from Druzhkovka, near Kramatorsk, Ukraine took her granddaughter, nephew and sister-in-law and took them to safety in Romania. She tells of sealing up the room by covering the windows when the windows were broken and she cut her hands.
She left behind mother, husband, and would like to go back to Ukraine. She loves her country, but she has to protect the future of her country. Her story is important for the resilience and determination to overcome evil.
